Religious leaders try to stop Buffalo casino approval

In Buffalo, New York,  it seems a coalition of Western New York religious leaders (with nothing better to do), including the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo's Bishop, restated its staunch opposition to a proposed new casino in Buffalo. The group feels that they still have enough time to block the casino from being approved.

Yesterday, about 10 or 12 members of the Network Religious Communities, Buffalo's biggest interfaith group, retaliated against the casino proposal during a press conference in the network offices located on Delaware Avenue.

The Bishop, who first voiced his fierce opposition to any approval of a casino back in July, started the ball rolling by writing a letter of disapproval to the Mayor of Buffalo. 

He went on to say that there were already enough cities that already have casinos. He fears that the areas poorer community will become entranced with gambling in a new approved casino in the immediate area of Buffalo.

Many area officials feel that the casino will most likely be approved. We online casino players will be watch to see what happens.
