Online poker's first millionaire wins at Paradise Poker

After playing against nearly 4,000 online casinos poker players, Lee Biddulph, walked away with a cool million. Biddulph, is the winner of ParadisePoker.com's first Million Dollar Free online poker tournament.

The final table, which was played out in a mystery tropical location, was made up of 9 recreational players. 8 of the final players hailed from the US. In the end, it came down to a showdown between Biddulph, a 28 year old from the UK and Mike Darweesh, from Arizona.

After a grueling 7 hours of poker playing at the final table, Biddulph revealed he was very nervous indeed.

On the 2nd to last hand, both poker players checked right through to the river, facing a board with 4 diamonds. Darweesh led with a wager of $200,000. Biddulph thought for a moment before re-raising it  to $600,000. Darweesh called, and flipped over a 9 of diamonds. Biddulph turned over the ten of diamonds and took the pot with a higher ranking flush.

Both players were all in before the flop, and as they revealed their hole cards Darweesh had queen/nine and Biddulph had the better hand of ace/ten. The first card from the deck was an ace. The remaining cards on the flop were a 6 and 3. The turn card produced an eight - making Biddulph happy. Alas, the river card displayed another six, and he won.

All of the lucky finalists won an all expenses paid weekend to a resort in Costa Rica for two, and $10, 000 just for making it to the final round.
