Unabomber wins Poker Royale

The jig was up when Phil The Unabomber Laak displayed his poker playing prowess against comedianes and pros alike. In the finale of Poker Royale - Comedians Vs. Pros. he won the final pot of $50,000.

The event came down to a game between Laak and fellow poker pro Kathy Kolbert. Kolbert was gained momentum by winning the second to last hand, but needed to quickly double up. On the last hand, Laak was the first to act with pocket sixes, then flopped three of a kind with a 6/4/A, leaving Kolberg with pocket queens. After getting no help from the turn, she needed a queen on the river to stay in, but a 10 came up and Laak won the poker hand and tournament.

Playing against Laak and Kolberg at the final table were Linda Johnson, Tammy Pescatelli, Sue Murphy, and Mark Curry. Not a bad show for women poker players we think. We also can't help but wonder who would have won if Jennifer Tilly sat at the final table.
